About us

Jennifer O'Hagan

Jennifer, the founder of Unique Makers, is a successful business woman and talented artist, with a passion for creating a more inclusive society.

Jen has always had a passion for art and a love for helping others. After completing her Masters degree at the University of Texas, she pursued a career in tax consulting with PWC in the US and Australia. She left that world behind 15 years ago when her son was born with Down Syndrome and ASD, shifting her focus to helping him develop to his fullest potential. While raising her kids as a single mother, she has spent the last 10 years consulting and growing other small businesses.

Combining her love of art, business skills, and desire to help others, Jen's passion project Unique Makers has come to life. Jen's vision is an inclusive art studio that provides its members fun and creative outlets for artistic expression while also developing social and communication skills, improving self-esteem, and fostering independence. Jen is very much about focusing on the abilities of each individual and helping them feel their worth.

Jen's personal experience having a son with Down Syndrome and ASD has given her a deep understanding of the daily challenges that families and individuals with neurodiversity and disabilities face. It inspires her to use her talents and expertise to help make positive changes in each members lives.
